  1. Hi,

I'm trying to read the Essays of Michael de Montaigne. Last year an update edition was published by Proa, three volumes that are the collected essays of the philosopher and I bought it. But soon I discovered it's hard to read Montaigne because their opinions are always based on roman and greek philosophers: Ciceron, Lucreci, Séneca, Plató, etc. The reader need a good background on classical culture, if he hasn't it, he will suffer a lot.
This is the second time I try to read it. I'll do my best.

  2. Hello,

This mornig I have just finished "Mieses Karma" of David Safier. It's about what happen after the death, it's a really different view of the question. I never thought before in the possibiity of become an ant or a dog...
Is not the most hilarious book that I have ever read, but is funny and easy to read.

  3. Hello! I've just started reading Bram Stoker's "Dracula", the most famous human vampire. I like vampire's stories and I saw the film many years ago. It was nice!
It is placed in Transylvania, in the midst of the Carpanthian mountains, one of the wildest and least known portions of Europe.
I think it will be gratefull time reading this book! See you!

  4. I'm reading the reluctant Queen, by Jean Plaidy, is the history of two families of five hundred years ago, set in England where the war is everywhere.

Sometimes the history is very sad, amd sometimes it is very happy.

  7. Hi Lara,
I'm a little bit delayed about that, like with other things...
The other day I took from bookcase two books, I have to choose one of them, but I'm not sure if it is my level or not...I took them from "Anglès: Lectura graduada 4" section (I think it has that name!!) in Medicine Faculty.
    The books are:
    - Meteor (Wyndham, John)-Short stories- From Oxford University Press
    - The Great Gatsby (Scott Fitzgerald, F.)- From Longman Fiction.

Are they correct? Which one you could recommend me?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vanessa Leo
